WHAT IS HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING?

High Intensity Interval Training is a training method in which an intensive stress phase alternates with a subsequent recovery phase. The duration of the phases is between 10 and 60 seconds, depending on the intensity and scope of the training. The short, very intense exercise phases primarily improve the economisation and resilience of the muscles and the metabolism.

A HIIT is usually not performed for more than 30 minutes.
